Thank you, Lord, for this day. May it be used for your glory!
Good morning everyone and welcome to another Thursday update!
As promised, today I wanted to share a quick update on this project, Spatium.
I’ve told y’all about it a few times in the past, but I wanted to give an update because there are some exciting changes to the project!
In the past, I’ve mentioned that Spatium will be monthly short stories sent to this app called Vault. You can then buy a key to my Spatium Vault and receive the stories every month.
I’ve also mentioned that I will post those stories on Substack for all of my paid subscribers.
Both of those things are still true.
In fact, you can check out my Spatium vault here: http://bit.ly/spatium-vault
The website version of Vault requires you to know a teeny tiny bit about Solana wallets. HOWEVER, the team has done something cool…
If you download the app, you can purchase keys with your credit card, no crypto knowledge is necessary!
To download the app, go to your app store and search “VAULT: Creators Unlocked”
There are a ton of cool creators with vaults out there you should check out.
Anyways, I’ve told y’all all of that before, that’s not what this post is about.
However, one last thing before I move on. I am still planning to post the stories on Substack for paid subscribers, and I’m also planning to upgrade all of y’all to that membership for a few months for free anyway (forever if you’re a family member).
The real news is that the DeSo Spatium project is a go!
I know you’ve heard me talk a ton about DeSo before so I won’t go into details. As a reminder, DeSo is a blockchain designed for social media in mind. There are already tons of super-popular apps built on DeSo and a lot more coming soon. There is an Instagram type app called Stori coming soon I’m very excited about.
I mainly use an app called Diamondapp (on desktop) and Cloutfeed (on mobile). Both of these give more of a Twitter-like feel.
DeSo has also been very popular for NFTs and other projects to build on because it’s all very cheap. You don’t have to pay $300 to mint an NFT as you might with Ethereum.
So what is Spatium going to look like on DeSo?
Well, I’ll give you a high-level view. Again, I’ve sent this to y’all before.
I’m going to post new stories on DeSo every month. At first, they will be free, but one day they won’t be.
Along with the stories will come character NFTs, which will be one-of-a-kind collectible NFT characters found in the stories!
I have a lot more vision from there like a generative series, merging characters, doing writing competitions, and even launching the first DAO publishing company.
One bite at a time, though.
I was able to launch the project on a popular Twitter space with a decent-sized audience and received good feedback. I’ve also now posted one story, that I think went pretty well. It at least got a few dozen views (no idea if they actually read it) and just posted the second one too!
I also found an artist! We have the first 2 NFT characters done and ready to go!
I’m currently reaching back out to some more influential DeSo people who run these spaces to see if I can get a highlight and drop the NFTs.
From there, we just cross our fingers people actually buy them. If they do, then the ball is rolling and we can keep churning them out!
I just wanted to give a quick update on that. I’m very excited about it!
I have the full project roadmap on the website: spatiumstories.com
I will also have all the stories and NFTs on there eventually. One bite at a time.
In the meantime, thank you for the loving support. Any prayers in the project would go a long way too!
