Thank you, Lord, for this day. May it be used for your glory!
Good morning and welcome back to another Friday Inspiration!
This week I have 3 articles from all over the spectrum. We’ll be talking about how to hit that next creative hot streak, another really cool AI tech for all the wannabe painters, and perhaps some aliens growing in Hawaii.
Let’s jump in!
What Causes a Creative Hot Streak? A New Study Found That It Often Involves These Two Habits
https://news.artnet.com/art-world/what-causes-creative-hot-streaks-2008473/amp-page
I thought this was a very fascinating article for anyone who is aspiring to create content.
On a side note, I think this should apply to everyone. Because everyone should be creating content of some kind. It’s too rewarding not to try it.
Anyways, so apparently the trick to getting a creative hot streak is a healthy balance of exploration and exploitation.
That just means in whatever field you create, whether painting, writing, youtube, or TikTok, you should first explore.
Explore different genres and topics. Try making videos that are funny, emotional, instructive, inspirational, etc. Try different topics like technology, finances, cooking, etc.
The idea is to explore and see where your interests lie and what truly resonates with people.
Then once you’ve explored and found that niche, exploit it. Keep making more and more content in that same niche you just found.
And boom! You are on a creative hot streak!
Easier said than done for sure. But I like its simplicity.
Just keep creating until something sticks, then create more of it!
Nvidia’s Canvas AI painting tool instantly turns blobs into realistic landscapes
Imagine good old Microsoft Paint, but now it creates photo-realistic artwork.
That’s what Nvidia is releasing.
I’ll add the photo from their article here. I mean look at that!
How cool is that!?
I don’t think this will ever replace the finesse of a real art piece, but I do think this will be super helpful for anyone that needs a really quick illustration or wants to touch up a photo in an epic way.
I for one am really excited to try it out. My only worry is it’s too good to be true. Too restrictive and you can’t actually paint or create anything you want to.
But who’s to say?
Ancient Lava Caves in Hawai'i Are Teeming With Mysterious Life Forms
I’m pretty sure this popped up in my article list only because we just had some friends return from Hawaii and Apple knows about it, haha!
I didn’t know this, but microbes account for the second highest mass in earth’s biomass. After plants.
And they account for the majority of the biomass in the earth’s deep surface.
Yet, we don’t know much about them.
All we really seem to know is that there are a lot of different species, they don’t live in isolation, and have this odd colony formation.
Other than that, we really don’t know what they do.
In fact, 99.9% of microbes remain “unknown” and are often referred to as “dark matter.”
Though, I assume that’s different than actual dark matter.
Scientists recently have had a piqued interest in microbes because they have found very similar microbes on Mars.
However, there was a recent discovery of microbes from some lava caves near Hawaii.
Apparently, 400-500 years ago, lava formed these caves deep underground where no light ever reaches.
Yet, somehow these microbes grew, and have continued to grow massive colonies. Somehow with seemingly no light, they have still been able to harness the sun’s energy to grow.
Furthermore, these microbes they found do not match any other microbe we’ve ever found before!
It’s a new species!
This just shows how unknown and undiscovered the research of microbes really is.
Who knew!?
I figured science had just discovered everything already.
Alright, that’s it for this week! Thank you all again for the support, and have a great weekend!
