Thank you, Lord, for this day. May it be used for your glory!
Good morning everyone! I’m back!
I will be honest, taking a break was pretty nice. I missed writing, don’t get me wrong, but taking a break as we moved into our new home was definitely a necessity.
We are moved in and maybe 80% unpacked? Only a couple more things we need to wrap up in Durham before we can say goodbye to that city and embrace our new home in Burnsville, NC!
I know you may want a big update on everything that happened over the past month or so, but you’ll just have to wait.
This post is actually about the future of writing for me.
Another reason I wanted to take this break was to allow myself some time to reflect and pray about my writing.
And I am going to be making a few changes and a few additions.
Before I drop the news, I’ll give you a refresher of all my writing endeavors thus far:
Biblit: Biblit is my weekly (drops on Tuesday) newsletter covering a different passage of the Bible.
Today I Noticed: this is my main personal blog (and why it’s a separate substack than Biblit) where I have been posting weekly poems, updates, and “inspirational” or “interesting” articles.
Fiction: I’ve been writing some fiction pieces on the side, and I know I’ve talked to y’all several times about this project I’m working on called Spatium.
To sum up: I had 2 newsletters, some fiction work, and a project called Spatium.
What is staying the same?
Biblit
Biblit will stay the same for sure. I love writing about God’s word each week and I will continue to do so.
I plan to continue my courses at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary to help me in my interpretation of God’s word, and hopefully, to grow in my ability to write helpful articles about God’s word.
As a sneak peek, I am planning to finish parts of Exodus (maybe skip a couple of chapters), and then jump into a study on David which will span 1st and 2nd Samuel, Psalms, and part of 1st Kings!
What is changing?
Today I Noticed is going to take a slight change. This is the new schedule of things:
Wednesday: I will still be dropping a new poem every week based on one of Tay’s photos, and for those interested, I’m minting these as NFTs on DeSo too.
Thursday: This is the new one. Instead of a weekly update, Thursdays will be dedicated to crypto. Just like on Friday when I take 4 articles to talk about random topics, Thursday will now be a post containing 4 crypto articles.
Friday: This will also be another 4 article day, but the topics here will be more varied than Thursday. However, Friday’s articles will not contain any crypto stuff at all, and I will also keep the techy articles to a minimum.
Life Updates: instead of weekly life updates or articles, I will just play these by ear. When I’m inspired by something, I’ll write an article and release it.
What’s new??
The Spatium Stories Blog!
That’s right! I’m probably crazy, but I’m starting a 3rd substack newsletter. This one is dedicated to the Spatium Stories project.
The project itself has taken some twists and turns in direction; the short story NFT portion is actually just a small part of what Spatium Stories is all about! To hear more, make sure you subscribe to that newsletter. The first post has already been released!
This newsletter will drop bi-weekly or monthly articles covering current book markets, exclusive author interviews, and of course Spatium Story updates.
And I will probably cross-post any interesting articles on this substack too.
Whoo! Ok, so I think that’s it for this post.
The first full week of writing will be coming in just a couple of weeks!
Thank you all for your support. Please share the newsletter along!
