Thank you, Lord, for this day. May it be used for your glory!
Good morning everyone and welcome to another Thursday update! This week I want to introduce a new edition to this Substack and a brand new writing adventure I’m going to take.
Introducing: Spatium.
Ok, I’ve actually talked about Spatium in the past if you remember the whole Flickapp vault thing. But I wanted to dive a little deeper and give an update on this new writing project of mine.
First of all, Spatium itself is a Latin word meaning “a pause.”
Now, y’all Latin experts might be ready to call me out on this. I looked it up a second time a while back and apparently, spatium is actually Latin for “space.”
I guess I can see how the phrase “a pause” would translate to “space” too. They are similar. We just awkwardly use the word “space” to mean interstellar exploration and whatnot.
For our purposes, however, Spatium means “a pause,” as in “come, take a pause with me.”
That is my goal in this project. Once a month (hopefully more one day) I want to give y’all a chance to take a pause from the business of life and enjoy a quick story. The stories themselves will have different themes and genres as we go on, and they may even be a series from time to time.
How is this going to work exactly?
Well, just like I have my weekly poem, article, and inspiration pieces (plus Tuesday’s Biblit if you subscribe to that too), I will be posting a monthly short story.
I’m going to post them on Monthly Story Mondays.
Here is the twist, though. I’ve decided to make Spatium my first paid newsletter. If you are a family member, I can just get you in for free, though :)
Here is the whole idea. If you remember, Spatium, was started as this vault thing on DeSo. The vault is how it sounds. You buy a key one time and have access to the vault for forever. This means someone pays $25 for the key and they receive monthly short stories until they decide to sell the key to someone else.
Spatium has also now been launched as a beta vault on the Solana blockchain too! I’ll give you the link if you want to check it out!

I realize that the blockchain vault idea can be confusing at times. That is why I’m writing this post.
If you don’t know or care to know anything about the whole NFT world, then you can access the vault through an old-fashioned subscription model right here on Substack!
You just subscribe here either monthly or yearly and then boom! Free stories for life.
I’ll describe the model one more time if you don’t remember:
All Spatium Members Will Receive:
A free monthly short story
A free compilation of my annual short stories (10 of those stories)
So 2 stories a year will remain in the vault forever
Access to a private Discord (coming soon)
Discord is like a messaging app where I can share announcements, gather feedback, or create discussions.
That’s pretty much it. With this addition there will now be 3 ways to join in and become a Spatium member:
Flickapp vaults through DeSo: flickclout.page.link/ji3z
Vault on Solana: https://vault.fan/vault/GhLvppKtGMrmYjiEqsYeZfREWL6djafD6cJzzCQ59u6e
A Today I Noticed paid subscription: available now!
I am currently working on a Christmas-themed short story right now, so if you want in, now is the time! I will also be releasing the other stories that already came out in the Flickapp vault, which will include a free e-copy of my latest compilation, Life or Death!
Let me know if you are a family member and want access and I’ll put you on the list for free :)
Alright! That’s probably enough of an update for now. That’s my new writing project, Spatium.
I’m really excited to get it rolling out. I wanted to wait until the new year, but I just couldn’t help myself. Let’s call this the soft opening, haha!
