Love is such a misunderstood word
Emotional highs reserved for relationships
The thought of that lie is simply absurd
But now one might ask, what is love?
This is a lovely question
The answer to which we find above
So much more than simple emotion
Love is the most important
So much inside this complex action
To simply speak your love is unjust
Just as faith without deeds is dead
So action with no love is dust
In all things we do, love ought to be
Work, family, strangers alike
All will fail without love, I guarantee
But how, but what, what shall we do?
The answer is clear, don’t you see?
Everywhere you go, keep Jesus in view
Only He has the power to give you great love
In every action, love will abound
As long as we keep our gaze above
