I'd tell people to run while you can. I always hated it as an adult. I like walking. I used to average 30 k steps a day walking. Right before my accident. I can barely do 2k a day now. But I definitely can't run. Even if I wanted to. I can't dance anymore either. Can't play with my son how I'd like to. Getting down on the floor is a challenge. Getting up again is almost impossible.

We take so much for granted.

That is a such a great point! A lot of the times when I’m running and praying at the same time, a large part of my prayers are thanksgiving for legs and a body that can still run.

You never know what life has around the corner. I might get in an accident and never even be able to walk again. So while I can run, I want to enjoy it and be grateful for it every single day.

make it a habit to appreciate the small things mate. I used to ride a pushbike to work every day. Rain, hail or shine. When it was tough, I'd focus on the small things I'd see along the way, the beauty that is all around us, all the time, we just have to see it. Often we are so caught up in our day to day, we don't see what's right in front of us. Adjusting your focus, adjusts your perspective.
